Zack Martini #29

Zack has been a regular competitor in the racing world. At 5 years old he began racing Quarter Midgets at 8 different tracks in Pennsylvania. The track West End Fairgrounds was the home track. In 2004, Zack moved into full size sprints and became a regular competitor at Hesston Speedway in the 305 Sprint division.

Zack continued racing in 305 Sprints in 2005 and was a consist ant Top 10 finisher with numerous heat race wins and Top 5 finishes. Zack also cashed in on his ability to pass on the slick Hesston surface by taking a cash bonus for passing the most cars in a feature. He also pitted his talent against the formidable Pennsylvania Posse during 2005 Speedweek at Big Diamond where a mechanical failure kept him from a feature win. Zack also competed against the more powerful 410 Sprints at Clinton County Speedway on a weekly basis in the 305. Zack consistently finished in the Top 10 weekly. His highlights at Clinton County include numerous heat race wins, a 4th place finish and at one point dueling with the leader until mechanical gremlins retired him from the race.

In 2006, Zack swapped out the 305 for a 410 engine and launched his 410 Sprint career. Zack called Clinton County Speedway his home track. Learning from his experience there, Zack headed out to Indiana to race wingless 410s at famous tracks like Paragon, Kokomo, Lawerenceburg, and Gas City Speedways. Zack scored a B-Main victory during his travels.

2007 saw Zack's interest moving to the ARDC Midgets. Zack's new home track was also the ARDC's at Susquehanna Speedway. On September 8th, after only 8 starts with the ARDC, Zack scored his first A-Main victory at Winchester Speedway. Also in 2007, Zack started a number of ATQMRA races competing in three quarter midgets on asphalt. TQ's are lightning fast that are always setting new track records. Zack also drove an asphalt Sprinter at the prestigious Orlando Speedworld. Zack timed 19th quick of 40 entries, not bad for his 1st time in the car.

Now this year, 2008, Zack sets his sights on another full season of racing. His primary focus will be the ARDC, but he will also be running TQs and wingless sprints when USAC comes to to the Pennsylvania area in the 1st week of June. Early in the season, Zack took part in the Dirt Track Heroes car show at the Phillipsburg Mall in Phillipsburg, NJ. He went on to appear as a guest on Carquest Gasoline Alley TV/Radio program and was interviewed by the Pados Brothers.
